Universal’s Engineering and Production procedures meet the most rigorous specifications.  Universal is an AISC Certified fabrication shop for simple steel bridges.  We meets California’s stringent highway specifications – remaining qualified under Caltrans Welded Steel for Sign Structure Audits as well as the Caltrans Steel Piling Audit.  Universal is also qualified in and has sold products in more than 40 other states as well as Canada.

Universal has around 200 professionals and highly skilled production personnel who are dedicated to fulfilling the company’s mission and purpose.  Universal has over 600,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities on more than 40 acres of real property.  Universal has consistent revenue and customer growth since its founding in 1978, as a one-man welding operation.
